it would seem that this experience can be expressed in many ways, through many senses: the sweet smoky odor lingering in  turnout gear hung to dry, the muffled sound of a fire’s force heard through a darkened hallway, or a nighttime street alive with pulsating color. A simple image in a drawing may not be able to fully capture the depth of the firefighting experience, but through accurate detail, vivid color, and the subjects of the drawings themselves, I hope that these works offer some tribute to all firefighters and the honorable service they provide.
